My experience in ETEC 541 class online class

I learn this class how to use online tools and how to instructor my course material dr Newberry was supported us all the time by show us what to do in each session and give us the course document , pod cast to show us what we have to do in each assignment .Also, provide us our grades in each week and write his comment on our assignment. That strategy I really like and will try to use it in my future class because it show how doctor respect each student privacy by send email to them and show how much he concern about each student progress .all these hind give me an idea how to deliver my online class


My expectation of my online course

delivery online learning is challenging to many people because when i deliver my online course content i must know how to design a good course that lead my student and help them to master there technology skills ,and match their interest and retch their goal in this course. in order to do that i must communicate with my student all the time by sending them Email or post an announcement to remind them with any update of my course. In order to have a good delivery system In my course i will give clear information about the course that will be in the syllabus, schedule . i will explain the material that i will provide to student and ask questions during the lecture to make sure that students understand the information .

In order to teach student a new skills, i have to prepare a good content and design a good communication between me and my student and provide them with my office hours ,E mail and office number .i will provide them with course that match their need by asking them what they want to seek in this class. i must know Student background of using technology and how are they willing to try to use this new technology without having any problem while they use it .For example in my online course each student have to create a blog in order to post all their assignment in their blog , that lead me to provide students with good links that show them step by step how to create blog so they can know how to post their work .i have to look over their work and see how did they do their blog and how my student understand the content i have to give them allot of practices exercise after each session i gave them and try to send their grades through their e mail . i will write my comment on my student blog to motivate them and show my student how much i concern about their success . I think also the student will be more comfortable if they use CMS technology system such as blackboard because in this case the student they know where to access the course material and go over it any time and communicate with me through the blackboard.

To insure my course is effective All my students are encouraged to participate, share views about the topic and experiences. Course content materials and sources should be available online to guided student on what they are going to take and to do each week.

On begin to deliver online class the teacher have to make sure that students have access through the internet and make sure her student know how use the internet tools in positive way and show them the benefit of the internet use and explain to her student the risk their will pot them self if they are a part of hackers that go beyond hymen right and show them the benefit of using computer tools in legal and perfect way .

My role of delivery of online resource

The instructor has to be knowledge and know how to use online tools and be update to know anew internet tools that could help him to design a good class and some time take classes at the university on how to develop his online skills. Also, should be fixable with the content and try to change if there is any problem
The instructor should examine his online tools to make sure that his student can explore and don loud the course content without have any problem and navigate the chat tools before start interact with student.
your workflow and process to be. Another way to approach this would be to explain the anticipated workflow of the instructor of the course you are creating or will create.
Send clear massages to my student

I will try to make my course easy to fallow for example

In the beginning of each lecture i will post an announcement and send E- mail to my student to remind them on the meeting that we have. It will be as the fallowing

There will be class meeting on Tuesday 7/10/2011 the class will start from 2pm-5pm before the class start please prepare for the lecture and download the course document before our meeting .if you have any question please e mail me . I will try to managed and design a good work environment by Give a clear direction on what students have to do before each session and write a guide information that’s goes step by step to show student what they have to do in each assignment .

After student post their assignment before the due date in their blog and send me the link of the assignment, i will grate their work and send there grade by E- mail so th studnt can fix the error and resend his assignment to get better grades.

For example in my class EDUC 102Arabic class the student have to:

review the syllabus ,course schedule and course document .

Every week there will be some class meeting through Skype or dim dim that you review the course schedule and I will post announcements on the date and time of meeting and send a reminder to all student E-Mail.

Student must log in each session that will be on the course schedule and read the text and post their assignment on their blog.

in this class the best way to communicate with me is by send me an E-mail or call me during my office hours which is Wednesdays and Friday (2:00-4:00PM). I will do my best to answer all your question that you are going to send by E- mail and respond to your email as soon as possible.
