Think about the issues related to the impact of content, instructor and student characteristics in the design of online learning environments as discussed in the podcast. Have I overlooked any? How would you prioritize these issues? Also think about issues raised in chapter 8 of the Horton text: Instructor vs. Learner Led, synchronous vs. asynchronous delivery, class size, types of devices used, learners work environment, blended or hybrid learning designs, planning for reuse, etc.
After I read Horton book chapter 8 and listen to doctor Newberry podcast .This thing give me a good Idea to start create and develop and design a good on line class . I should begin and try to do my best to motivate my student and led all student the way that make them comfortable and satisfy with the document and have self improvement in the course time . the Chapter 8 go over the instructor- lead or the student lead and the advantage of each one of them in my position is the first one because i am the one how are expert and create this class . The second part is the Synchronous and asynchronous witch one of them are include more activity .My course has include the two part but i focus on the first part witch is synchronous so i can motivate my student in my course .the class size my class is small because i want to give attention to each one of my student and how this thing could affect the student that mean they will develop there language very fast and make the class more easy to handle.

I plan to designed an online divergent class that teach student how to speak and read Arabic .Moreover , The content should be a convergent content so the student could not feel confuse and have all the information the student want to learn are organized . in this course I will provide my with a direct instruction and model that make that led them to the correct answer I will respond to my student and make my student have quick feedback and I will help each student to make them discover how to correct there answer by asking several student before beginning each class a several question before to make sure my student understand the contant. Also , provide student with clear schedules make the student led them self to the success .

This class is introduction to Arabic language.The program five week intensive Arabic program. There will be many activity in this program for my student during this program like reading , writing, singing, problem solving and story in this program by using on line tools to communicate with instructor, content and each other like Skype, dim dim, blog and email. the student will also learn how to socialized and conduct to another culture’s . there will be quizzes and home work in this course

There will be the two typew of led that include in my course, that mean I will provide my student with the course content ,power point and the synchronous .Each student has to turn their home work at the end of each week and send it to my e mail as attach before the due date. then I will grade their work and send e mail back to each student then each student should post their home work in their blog and comment in each other work .Also, I will provide student with a new topic each week and they have to read about the topic before beginning discuss in the online meeting and make student sharing idea with teacher or each other . the student will post all their home in their blog after they create their blog at the beginning that will be learner led
The way of communication and activity:
Synchronous and asynchronous In this class we will be online meeting on dim dim , talkshoe and Skype every week . asynchronous when the student want to discuss home work that related to the new topic with the instructor.
The course environment :
the student will take there course in any place. there is no certain place to take this course because the course I design can be taken in any place. I will do meeting in the first class to know if the student have good internet connection or not in order to be demonstrated with my content
The way of feedback
I will correct student home work as soon as I can so they can get a quick feedback and solve their home work problem and scored so they can know which level they are At the end of each topic there will be a quiz that they have to answer all the question that I gave them and i will do a check list so i can know how many skills they know so far .

I plan to have less than more than 10 less than 20 students so I can focus on each student work because I think the more I have student the less focus I will be with each student .

Content: This course will cover beginning college algebra.
The instructor: The first thing The professor must know there student ability to learn and what their level in algebra. Each professor has their own style of learning some of them may use a high quality of technology could create a step by step video that include there voice and task at the same time so each student can go over it many time . like use internet fetchers like create there own web side and, recorded there lecture on his web site so student can use it easily and this web site has privacy with their student. This teacher has high quality of teaching give there student a lot of exercise and question at the end of the lecture so this professor can review the exercise that the student does not answer it very well. The second type of professor use basic technology power point, charts, over head projector to in reach their class, video and E- mail.
this type of course the best thing to do is stand alone presentation .the person who has more experience and higher degree will try to be more demand than other on his content that mean after each vide or podcast that teacher will provide for his student he will ask them to do even short quiz or a home work that mean the student has to be update with his teacher to understand the course because algebra is one the difficult course that need more focus on the material. At the end of this course in order to make sure all his student are success . The course will be with the instructor- led so he can control the course . even the size of the class should be small class not more than 20 student so the student could have more assistance from there teacher. The teacher should give student quiz so that teacher could know what are the student do in this class. The instructor should provide his lesson to his student trough podcast video ,PowerPoint and i movie. student can have the content should be a violable for all student and they can get it any time through any kind of devise such as laptop ,mobile and notebook.in this class the student can communicate with the teacher in easy way and get there respond so they can go over the answer to gather or the teacher can send a student a hint to the way that allow the student to correct there work.
Student: freshmen and sophomores must know how to use technology. Also, sharing there answer with their professor. Also there are successful in on line class. When the student use internet accesses they have to be familiar with it. Each student in algebra class are helpful with each other in case if the student does not know the answer of the question this student has many choices first he/she can send e mail to the professor or they can comment in each other blog. In Each group the instructor could pot a tauter to help other student to help other students that have difficulty with question .Each student in this class can communicate outside the university by chatting on the messenger chatting room to answer the difficult question.

Content: The course is a philosophy of leadership class.
Instructor(s): The instructor is an experienced face-to-face instructor with good tech skills and prior online teaching experience. This instructor prefers lecture and discussion classes.
Students: Graduate students who are well motivated and with a wide range of technology skills, from very basic to very advanced.
This course is led by instructor because according to doctor Newberry this a type of Divergent content often has no clear single best path for developing the best answer.” because there is no Wright or wrong in this case the material this subjects that are fuzzy material with make it difficult to identify a single right answer..
The professor focus on tow way face to face meeting and on line program. In this kind of class the professor concentrate on the student skills of understanding the martial of the course and how to get the feedback from the student very fast. In this class the professor design a good environment and give question to know the improvement of his and each lecture that the professor give has several question at the end. At the end of this class the professor give student paper to evaluate his teaching skills so the professor can improve his skills .In this program the professor can communicate with student by recording his lecture in the black board each question that student answer the program correct them it is go with student step by step. In this class professor can also separate the class in gropes that can share information listening to the lecture at the black board ,ask for help from other student ,
The instructor may implement a good direct course or do provide his student with video, PowerPoint that he create ,or several stories that need solution so the student can think in creative way because in this kind of class the student are more active that mean they like to explore a new information in this case the teacher should provide them with complicated cases that could attract their attentions trough the blackboard or video that make them think in creative way and make the solve any problem around them by give the student a case and let them explore how to deal with it. the student who has a good technology skills will motivate there instructor to develop his skills and try to use blended course like podcast to communicate with his student or talkshoe . But in the other hand the student who does not have a good technology skill the instructor may support them by make the student who has good technology skills teach the other part who has poor technology skills that make the class much better. In this type of learning course the student are not conform to the schedule that the instructor are provided for them you hear the instructor should” avoid providing too much explicit guidance or run the risk of students avoiding the more difficult path of developing their own approaches to the problem. Newberry. the best thin in this kind of course the teacher should give a hint and make other student try to find the information , lit his student use their imagination to think about what should they do to solve any problem and should provide his student with a clear guideline to communicate with student for example like make them communicate through e mail, blackboard or blog in order to deal with their teacher ,each other and content in the discussion board ,The way of communication will be in asynchronous activity to have more room charring information and divergent content that has many activities so student can experience whatever they want to learn and it may be face to face because the instructor are more capable with this type of communication.

In this class the teacher must know what kind of technology tools that the student know to begin with and make sure that each student has an access to the internet and know his student skills because in this class most of the student has different level of range of technology skills. This student are highly motivated and expert in there field. This student like to do a lot of research at certain type of topic that grab there attention. Moreover ,this student like to learn from different cores like book at library , internet and asking professional people who are expert and has experience in certain major
The teacher could make a face to face or online meeting like Skype to know what kind of learning style that instructor should be in this class and student level of technology . The size of the class should not be more than 20 student so the teacher can be more active with them. the teacher should provide the student with the office hour in order if they need any help.

Content: This course is an introduction to college success. It teaches study skills, communication skills, and tries to help students learn how to fit into the college community.
Instructor(s): This course will be taught by various instructors all with good tech skills and prior online teaching experience but who have never taught this content before.
Students: Students are incoming freshman who have been identified by advisors as high risk for drop out
The content of the course are not difficult I will try to create a course that make student to communicate with each other on the blackboard or skype every weeks and make them communicate with their teacher if they need any help .Also provide them with podcast, power point and good links and make them communicate with their instructor every time that they face a problem and arrange an appointment through two kind of device online or face to face. I will try to make the content easy so they could like this class and not drop it and also provide them with a visual material like video so they get interesting to this class and go over the course step by step so student don’t feel lost even my web page will be clear to read the content and chose a good color for it. The class will not be more than 15 student
instructor:This course all professor will try to educated them self by support them self. There is a big chance to failed but the new try is worth to teach it. In this course the teacher will be more conches about their teaching skills and do a lot of exam to know if the student are well known the course very well,Also give student a lot of home work and e mail the student for any question, moreover there professor in this class may ask the student the perfect way for teaching that make them satisfied with the course.Also, provide student with easy topic every week develop their skills and make sure to know how to make their course easy to use and be available for all student. In this class the professor need to support their student by doing Competitions between student .Each student answer the question correctly will get extra credit from the professor . In this course the professor can create a web page to communicate with his student
in this case the teacher should do face to face meeting to know each student back ground ,and where they were studying at.
as recomendation the teacher should give them a lot of information and go over the syllabus to show them how does the course go. show them a good quality video for student who are success in their life to motivate the student The student has a big role in this class because the instructor will provide the student with all the information they want and make them contact the instructor all the time. At the end of the course the instructor will make each student give there comment about the course by sent them e mail and let them write a comment about the course content and there reflection at the end of the course and make each student rating this course and teacher.
as a part of this class activity the teacher should give the class out of campus to make them feel happy.
Teacher should teach student how to use any kind of technology that match there need to learned like using blog or creating website.
In the first scenario I think that the content would be the thing to focus on. Because Algebra can be taught as a convergent course you might want to create stand-alone presentations that all instructors could use.

In the third scenario you will want to think mostly about the student needs. This is because they are at higher risk of failing due to limited background etc.
I had a little trouble following the discussion about your own course. I think that an online Arabic language class would be interesting! But would you treat it as a convergent or divergent class? What kinds of interactions would be most important? What kinds of student needs could you predict?
